Speak Out

Speak out even when no one is listening

When you can’t find an audience

Or people talk over you

It doesn’t matter – you have something to say

Speak up when you see something wrong

Be a voice for the voiceless

Defend the weak

You’re stronger than you think

Speak out when you’re frightened

Of the sound of your own voice

Echoing in a chamber of hatred

Where angry eyes stare at you from all around

Speak up when no one agrees with you

And everyone argues back

With a million different reasons

Why you’re wrong

Speak out anyway

Because the more you use your voice

The stronger it becomes

If you don’t use it, you lose it

Trust me, I know.

Speak up, speak out
