I haven’t been around this blog much for a really long time, and unfortunately, it wasn’t because I was so wrapped up in writing that I scarcely had time to breathe. Sadly, I didn’t do much writing at all. Last year was a really tough year. I lost both my parents to Covid back in February. I also spent the last 14 months on a journey to reclaim my health, where I’ve lost 120 pounds. So, grief and health-related goals have occupied the majority of my time.
In 2022, my main goal is to do what I’ve been doing. I’m going to continue to eat healthy and exercise. I’m going to incorporate more running into my daily exercise routine, if my knees will cooperate. I’m hoping to start writing again, but I won’t beat myself up if I don’t. Basically, I’m going to be super kind to myself.
Oh, yeah. I’m also going to read a ton of books. Lots of books. Books I want to read in a variety of genres. This isn’t a book review blog, but you might (okay, you will probably definitely) be seeing some book reviews pop up on this blog from time to time. Since this isn’t a book review blog, and since I’m being super kind to myself this year (and by doing so, I am NOT going to be overloading my schedule by taking on more than I can handle) I will NOT be accepting book review requests. I will simply be reviewing those books I happen to come across and enjoy. If I don’t enjoy a book, I probably won’t finish it, so you won’t see a review for it here, so expect to see 4 and 5 star book reviews on this blog.
