This week’s haiku challenge by Ronovan Writes offers us the challenge words, Secret & Burn. These words have tapped into my desire for spring to come! After a week of above-average temperatures, I’ve watched our two feet of snow melt into just the occasional hidden patches of white tucked into shady spots here and there. I know there is still some winter weather ahead of us, but that won’t dampen my enthusiasm for the flower, budding trees, and warm weather that’s just around the corner.

SPRING SECRET
Spring’s secret flower
Slumbering beneath the snow
Awaits sun’s slow burn

Ah, nice! I couldn’t figure out a way to keep it in ‘nature’. Nicely done:)
