It’s been a long time since I’ve participated in RonovanWrites Weekly Haiku Poetry Challenge, but I’m happy to be back writing poetry once again. I hope you’ll cut me some slack because I’m pretty rusty.
The challenge words this week are Breathe & New. Please be sure to stop by Ronovan’s blog: https://ronovanwrites.wordpress.com/2016/11/14/ronovanwrites-weekly-haiku-poetry-prompt-challenge-123-breathenew/. You can find links to the other participants’ poetry in the comment section.
Post Election Blues
A new world order
Poisonous toxicity
I can hardly breathe

Breathe
Your soft lips on mine
Breathe new life into my heart
Light melts the darkness

We are both thinking alike 🙂

Ohhh the second haiku provides a path toward healing after the problem presented in the first haiku 🙂

Interesting transition from hate to love. I think the majority of humanity feels your first poetic statement.
