It’s day ten of NaPoWriMo and I though I’d try my hand at writing a Lune. A Lune is similar to a Haiku, but instead of the traditional 5-7-5 format we all know and love, a Lune is 5-3-5. I’m sorry today’s offering couldn’t be a bit more uplifting, but I’m using NaPoWriMo to work through some painful emotions.

Dark disappointment
deep aching
in my weeping heart

It gets easier
So they say
But no, not today
