I’ve already written one poem today for NaPoWriMo, but somehow, I managed to write another. I thought about saving it for tomorrow, but isn’t that cheating? The idea of NaPoWriMo is to write a poem every day. I thought about not sharing this one, but I rather like it. So here it is…
Love Is
Love
Is falling
Slowly
Softly
Laughing
Glancing
Dancing
Spinning
Wishing
Hoping
Groping
Madly
Yearning
Burning
Turning
Pulling
Pushing
Fighting
Screaming
Crying
Flailing
Falling
Out of
Love
But not falling back in love again after the argument? That’s a shame. I like the poem very much but hate the thought that life is really like that at the end….

Thanks, David. Maybe I’ve been spending too much time with my teenagers. lol. Seems to be how relationships work for teens. For us slightly older, married folks, relationships are a bit more resilient. We have our arguments, but work through them and it’s always worth it.
Hugs to you too!

I felt a pull in my chest reading this. I have experienced it all. I like the “falling in” better than the “falling out” though. 🙂

Yes, the falling in is always better! I think most of us have experienced all these emotions. For those who have never experienced falling out, they are lucky indeed.
